Christmas Shadow Boxes

I found a set of shadow boxes on sale last year for Black Friday. I decided to turn them into some chic, minimalist Christmas decorations. It worked! And it was simpler than it seems, considering how nicely they turned out.

Basically I used a sheet of plain colored (I chose light blue) cardstock as the background for each of the boxes. I found some Christmas embellishments at JoAnn's and Michael's that I thought were cute, and I secured them to the cardstock using foam dimensionals so that they have a 3-D effect. Check out the individual boxes below.

I added the bling myself. Everything is better with bling.

The buttons came from my mom's stash of extras.
Thanks, Mom!

Easy peasy. I put them around my living room in random places, like the bookshelf, that are screaming out for a dash of Christmas. Hope you give it a try...it's too easy not to!
